Tanya and I grew up in Minsk and Honolulu, respectively, and we met at a charity event while we were both living in Moscow, Russia. We like to joke that she bid on me in a American bachelor auction there. After falling in love, and traveling some (but never enough) of the world together, we now call Portland, Oregon home.
As both nomads and homebodies, we adore the allure of the open road stretching before us, of getting off a plane in a place we’ve never been; and yet we also love returning home, where we embrace the concept of hygge: sipping coffees, binging films and TV, and cuddling with our beloved cats.
Tanya and I always do our best to create and capture warm, cozy, memorable moments, no matter where we are. And as photographers, we’d love to help you do the same at your wedding.
If at all possible we prefer to meet our couples beforehand, have a drink together and really get to know each other. We’d love to hear more about you and your fiance. How you met, what you like to do, and how you envision your big day going. When we show up, we want you to see friendly faces that help you feel at ease, so you can focus on savoring the moments.
We love the fact that every wedding we shoot is different, and we can’t wait to hear the unique ways that you are going to make it special, and if that involves traveling to get there, even better!
While of course we have our own style of photography that we gravitate to, it’s critical to us that you’re thrilled with your photos, and we love collaborating to create a beautiful series of fine art images that you’ll cherish.
And if there is anything else that we can do to make things easier along the way, whether it’s helping to plan your schedule, figure out what to wear, give you tips to avoid common wedding issues, or just being there to listen and laugh and cry with you, we’re in!
